UK Conformity Assessed Marking was introduced as a legal requirement on 1st January 2021 after the UK left the EU in order to demonstrate a company is complying with the manufacturing standards needing to be met when supplying goods in the UK. It is a legal requirement and before the UK left the EU, we held CE marking which held similar standards but covered countries within the European Union.

The level of certification is divided into four categories and as a steelwork contractor we cannot produce steel in a higher category than certified.

Execution Class 1 – Farm Buildings
Execution Class 2 – Buildings
Execution Class 3 – Bridges
Execution Class 4 – Special structures (e.g. Power Stations)
We are very proud here at Nationwide Structures as we are certified to the highest classification – UKCA up to Execution Class 4.
