Blackburn Meadows

Blackburn Meadows

We are very proud to have been involved in this important initiative which can have such a positive impact on the Sheffield’s regeneration. Works started in November 2012 on the site of the recently demolished iconic cooling towers adjacent to the M1 motorway which can be seen driving both on the M1 and the A631 Tinsley Viaduct. We were contracted to undertake the design, fabrication and erection of a SKID scheme which incorporated the steel frames for two Transfer Towers, Fuel Store, the RUB Building and several gantries. Our responsibilities continued, we were also tasked to provide all associated metalwork including, staircases, hand railing and open mesh walkways, as well as the crane beams and the external cladding to the buildings.
