Barnsley Fire Station

Working through the winter months between 2020 and 2021, we were contracted to supply, fabricate, deliver and erect a new fire station building for Barnsley which consisted of amenity and appliance units, store and canopy. The fire station’s structure featured three separate roofs which made for an interesting design. The main lower roof incorporated a sloping mono-pitch along with both the second lower roof and higher roof, both facing perpendicular to the former. Thermal breaks were also employed into the design in order to protect the building from collapse in case of fire.
